Bridgeport, CT (February 21, 2022) – Several lanes were closed on Route 8 southbound near Exit 2 due to a serious car accident that happened on Monday afternoon, February 21.
Troopers with the Connecticut State Police advised drivers to avoid the area near Fairfield Avenue. No serious injuries were reported in the crash, though medics and first responders reported to the scene to render treatment to victims.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation first reported the incident around 2:00 p.m. but said all lanes were cleared by late afternoon.
