Bridgeport, CT (January 7, 2022) – Bridgeport Emergency Communications, as well as Bridgeport Fire Rescue and EMS units, responded to a preliminary report of an employee electrocuted on Thursday afternoon, January 6.
Initial indications are that an employee at a power plant on 10 Atlantic Street was electrocuted in a workplace accident.
Upon arrival, first responders found that the injured victim was alert and conscious. Medics transported them to an area hospital in serious but stable condition.
Officials with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration were called to the scene, as well as officers with the Bridgeport Police Department.
The incident remains under active investigation, and further information has not been released at this time.
