Clinton, CT (March 18, 2022) – One person was hospitalized after sustaining life-threatening injuries in a house fire that broke out in Middlesex County on Thursday afternoon, March 17, fire officials said.
Crews were dispatched to 8002 Colonial Drive in Clinton just after 1:00 p.m., according to the Middlesex County Fire Department. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from a single-family home. Crews rescued one person from inside the home, and EMTs transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
The fire was mostly contained by 2:00 p.m., though authorities have not yet determined the cause of the blaze. It’s also unclear if any other residents were evacuated or rescued from the home.
Authorities say their investigation is active at this time.
