Darien, CT (February 5, 2022) – A serious auto accident involving multiple cars occurred on Interstate 95 Saturday afternoon, February 5, causing injuries.
Two vehicles collided in the incident, which happened in the northbound lanes of I-95 before Exit 10 to Noroton Avenue around 2:00 p.m. According to state police, they are still piecing together the events leading up to the wreck. Officers were on-scene to collect evidence for several hours, causing major traffic jams.
Paramedics took at least one person to an area hospital by ambulance and others were treated at the scene. However, the extent of the victims’ injuries, as well as their current conditions, remains unknown.
The crash is still under investigation. Officers with the Darien Police Department say they will release further information in the coming days.
