Essex, CT (February 14, 2022) – Connecticut State Police are investigating a semi-truck collision that happened in Essex and resulted in injuries on Monday, February 14.
The incident caused major backups on Route 9 around 11:30 a.m. Officers responded to the southbound lanes of the highway, close to Exit 4 and Route 154.
CSP troopers added that the crash involved a semi-truck and passenger vehicle. Medics treated at least one person at the scene, though the number of injured victims, as well as their current conditions, remain unclear.
The investigation remains active at this time, however, and further details have not been provided.
