Hartford, CT (March 12, 2022) – A stretch of Route 2 was closed on Saturday, March 12, after a crash happened in East Hartford, according to authorities.
Around 2:00 p.m., rescue units closed down several lanes of eastbound Route 2 near Exit 5 to Willow Street after the two-car accident.
Per officers on the scene, one adult victim sustained injuries that were serious but not life-threatening. Paramedics took them to an area medical center for treatment, police added.
It’s unclear if any other victims suffered injuries, though police say their investigation remains active and further details will be provided in the coming days.
