Vernon, CT (January 31, 2022) – Officers with the Vernon Police Department are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian in Vernon on Sunday evening, January 30.
Vernon police, as well as fire rescue crews, responded to the wreck at Talcottville Road (Route 83) and Pitkin Road around 6:30 p.m. The victim, a 32-year-old man, sustained moderate injuries and required transport to a local medical center by ambulance.
Authorities say the man was hit by a dark-colored sedan traveling northbound on Talcotville Road. The driver continued north without stopping, per officers.
Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call Vernon Police Officer Roberge. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
