New Haven, CT (March 21, 2022) – Officers with the New Haven Police Department confirmed two pedestrians suffered injuries when a vehicle struck them and fled the scene on Saturday afternoon, March 19.
Authorities reported that the hit-and-run incident occurred on Grand Avenue, between Blatchley Avenue and Fillmore Street in the Fair Haven neighborhood, around 4:00 p.m. A mother was reportedly holding her child and crossing the street when the driver hit the two.
Medics took both to the hospital with minor injuries.
No additional information was immediately available, however, and their current conditions are unknown. The investigation remains active, and anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the HPD.
