Norwalk, CT (February 6, 2022) – A serious auto accident involving multiple cars occurred on Interstate 95 Sunday, February 6, causing injuries.
Two vehicles collided in the incident, which happened in the southbound lanes of I-95 at Exit 15 to Route 7, close to East Avenue, around 2:30 p.m. According to state police, they are still piecing together the events leading up to the crash. Officers were on-scene to collect evidence for several hours, however, causing major traffic jams.
Paramedics took at least one person to an area hospital by ambulance and others were treated at the scene. However, the extent of the victims’ injuries, as well as their current conditions, remains unknown.
The crash is still under investigation. Officers with the Norwalk Police Department say they will release further information in the coming days.
