Middletown, CT (March 2, 2022) – Officers with the Middletown Police Department say that a pedestrian was struck and injured on Tuesday evening, March 1.
Police discovered the victim lying unconscious in the roadway at Washington Street, close to the area of Wesley Inn & Suites, around 6:00 p.m. Initial reports indicate that a 2014 Jeep Compass was driving in the right lane of travel and headed eastbound when it hit the victim.
Medics transported the pedestrian to Hartford Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They are currently listed in stable condition, police said.
The driver remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities. The investigation remains active, though anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the MPD.
