Southington, CT (March 2, 2022) – A multi-vehicle crash ended in serious injuries and shut down a portion of westbound Interstate 84 in Southington on Wednesday morning, March 2.
EMS, fire crews, and officers with the Southington Police Department responded to the scene, close to the area of Exit 29, around 10:00 a.m.
At least one person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, officers said, though their current condition is unknown. The accident shut down multiple lanes between Exit 29 and 30, which did not reopen until almost 1:00 p.m.
Police are continuing to investigate the wreck and say that no additional information is immediately available.
