Stamford, CT (February 1, 2022) – A serious auto accident involving multiple cars occurred on Interstate 95 Tuesday afternoon, February 1, causing multiple injuries.
Two vehicles collided in the incident, which happened before Exit 8 to Atlantic Street around 3:30 p.m. According to state police, they are still piecing together the events leading up to the wreck. Officers were on-scene to collect evidence for several hours, causing traffic jams in the area.
Paramedics took at least one person to an area hospital by ambulance and others were treated at the scene. However, the extent of the victims’ injuries, as well as their current conditions, remains unknown.
The crash is still under investigation. Officers with the Stamford Police Department say they will release further information in the coming days.
