Torrington, CT (April 2, 2022) – Serious injuries were reported in a car crash that happened on Route 202 at the New Hartford/Torrington line Saturday evening, April 2, according to Connecticut State Police.
Route 202 was closed at Torringford East Street due to the two-car accident, CSP troopers reported. Troopers added that at least one person was trapped in their vehicle and that multiple people sustained serious injuries.
In addition to EMTs and firefighters, Lifestar was also called to the scene. The road was shut down at 9:00 a.m. and did not reopen for several hours.
CSP is still investigating at this time, however, and has not provided further information.
