Vernon, CT (February 17, 2022) – One person sustained non-critical injuries after a truck accident occurred on Thursday evening, February 17, in the Vernon area.
Sources reported that at least two vehicles were involved in the collision, which took place on eastbound Interstate 84 at Route 30 and Route 83 around 5:15 p.m.
Officers on the scene said that one of the involved vehicles was a large tractor-trailer. However, police did not release further details on the events leading up to the collision.
It is unclear how many people sustained injuries, but EMS personnel were at the scene to render aid. The investigation is ongoing at this time, and police say they will provide more information in the coming days.
