Fairfield, CT (December 8, 2021) – Two drivers in the Fairfield area were transported to the hospital after a multi-car crash occurred on Monday evening, December 6.
The incident took place around 8:00 p.m. near the intersection of Park Avenue and Olive Street. When they arrived, officers discovered a multi-vehicle accident, with one of the vehicles having crashed into a building in the 1300 block of Park Avenue.
Scott Appleby, the City of Bridgeport’s Director of Emergency Management, said that police immediately rendered aid to both drivers involved. The drivers were taken to the hospital by AMR for their various serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Appleby added.
After interviewing both drivers and speaking to witnesses, police issued several traffic citations to one of the motorists, including failure to yield.
Officers say their investigation remains active, and further details have not been provided.
