Glastonbury, CT (March 16, 2022) – Connecticut State Police officers say that three victims, including a police officer, were taken to the hospital after a crash that took place in Glastonbury on Tuesday afternoon, March 15.
Per reports from authorities, the incident happened around 4:45 p.m. on Hebron Avenue, near Hawthorne Mead Drive. At that time, the driver of a Ford Fusion sideswiped a Jeep Grand Cherokee before hitting a Glastonbury police cruiser head-on.
The police officer and the driver of the Ford Fusion were both taken to Hartford Hospital by ambulance, while the driver the Jeep was transported to St. Francis Hospital. All suffered moderate to serious injuries but are expected to survive.
The investigation surrounding the events of the wreck is ongoing. It’s unclear if citations or charges will be filed in connection with the collision.
