Hartford, CT (January 9, 2022) – One person died on Saturday, January 8, in Hartford after being hit by a car.
The victim, a 43-year-old woman, was struck in a collision at Franklin Avenue and Bliss Street. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered that the woman was critically injured.
The woman was rushed to Hartford Hospital by ambulance but later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities. Detectives from the Hartford Police Crime Scene Division are currently investigating the collision and have not said whether citations or charges will be filed.
