Litchfield, CT (December 27, 2021) – Investigators are piecing together the events leading up to a head-on collision that happened on Monday evening, January 10, in Litchfield.
Rescue units reported to the 600 block of Northfield Road, Route 254, and discovered that two drivers collided in a head-on crash. Authorities say that one of the people involved had to be extricated from their vehicle.
Medics transported one victim to an area trauma center, but authorities didn’t specify if this was the individual who required extrication. It’s also unclear if any other victims sustained injuries in the accident.
Northfield Road was closed between Main Street and Camp Hill Road while officers cleared the scene and collected evidence.
Additional information will be released in the coming week.
Our thoughts are with all injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
