New Haven, CT (November 17, 2021) – Officers with the New Haven Police Department say they are searching for a black Ford F-150 in connection with an accident that claimed the life of a 79-year-old bicyclist earlier this month.
The man died at the hospital after being hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle near College Street on November 7, said Officer Scott Shumway with the NHPD.
Police identified surveillance footage from the crash and are attempting to locate a 1997-2004 black Ford F-150, described as a single cab, two-door. They say the truck also has a large footbed with a black bed cap and tinted windows.
Anyone who may be able to identify the truck is being asked to contact the New Haven Police Department.
The crash remains under investigation at this time. However, police asked any witnesses to contact the New Haven Police Department Investigative Services Division.
