Truck Accidents in Connecticut

Newtown, CT - Woman Hit & Killed in Truck Accident on I-84 EB at Ex 13

Throughout the state of Connecticut, there were nearly 300 traffic fatalities in one year alone, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Of these fatalities, almost 40 involved a large commercial truck.

In fact, police report more than 80,000 traffic accidents annually. Authorities cited speeding, reckless driving, and DUI as top contributors to serious collisions. But when large trucks contribute to crashes, the consequences for victims can be dramatic and devastating.

Most of these Connecticut truck accidents are preventable. However, wrecks continue to increase year over year. And unfortunately, the victims must endure tragic circumstances as a result.

Sadly, many of these victims undergo emergency medical treatment and spend weeks or even months in recovery. To make things even worse, victims often require costly physical therapy, time-consuming treatment for emotional trauma, and more.

When people sustain serious injuries in accidents caused by the actions of other motorists, they should reach out to an auto accident attorney in New Haven as soon as possible. Compensation may be available to help with the financial burdens you are now facing.
