Plainville, CT (October 27, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle early Wednesday morning, October 27.
Around 4:30 a.m., officers reported that East Street was closed from Townline to Shuttle Meadow Road because of the auto-pedestrian crash. The accident occurred near the area of Cianci Avenue.
The pedestrian was initially transported to an area medical center but by the afternoon, the victim had succumbed to his injuries. He has not yet been identified.
Police Chief Eric Peterson said that no other injuries were reported.
Peterson added that the crash is still under investigation, and no further details were immediately released.
