Shelton, CT (September 10, 2021) – Officers with the Shelton Police Department said a crash killed one motorcyclist and seriously injured another victim in Shelton on Friday morning, September 10.
Police responded to Old Stratford Road around 11:20 a.m. Initial reports indicated that a driver leaving a gas station hit a motorcycle traveling down Old Stratford Road. The motorcyclist was driving toward Bridgeport Avenue when the collision happened. EMS rushed to the scene and transported the motorcyclist to the hospital. However, authorities later pronounced the victim dead, police said.
It’s unclear if the other victim in the accident was traveling in the vehicle or on the motorcyclist. Paramedics transported that victim to an area medical center in serious condition.
The Shelton Police Traffic Division Reconstruction Team, the detective division, and the patrol division are all investigating.
Witnesses with additional information should call the Shelton Police Traffic Division.
Police provided no further details about the drivers involved. The investigation continues at this time.
