Stratford, CT (November 18, 2021) – Officers with the Stratford Police Department said a bike crash seriously injured a child on Wednesday afternoon, November 17.
Officers responded to the accident site, located in front of the Burger King at 1540 Barnum Avenue, around 5:00 p.m.
Upon arrival, police discovered a 12-year-old child with serious injuries in the street.
EMS transported the child to Yale-New Haven Hospital. The driver of the vehicle involved in the collision reportedly remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The crash remains under investigation at this time. Police asked any witnesses to contact the Investigative Services Division with the SPD. Our thoughts are with the injured child and their family. We hope for their full recovery.
