Waterbury, CT (December 17, 2021) – A man died after a house fire occurred in Waterbury on Friday evening, December 17.
Per reports from authorities, the call came in for a single-family home fire at the 100 block of Lucille Street around 7:30 p.m. Officials said that the fire was confined to the basement, and rescue units extinguished the blaze quickly.
A man was then reportedly found dead in the basement.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the specific cause of the man’s death is unknown at this time. Authorities plan to release further details in the coming days.
