Farmington, CT (January 13, 2022) – One person was pronounced dead following a multi-car crash that happened on I-84 westbound in Farmington on Tuesday evening, January 11.
Just after 7:00 p.m., two cars traveling on the eastbound side of the highway, close to Exit 37, collided. State police said one of the cars crossed the center median and hit a Toyota Camry driving on the westbound side of the highway. Another car on the westbound side of the highway was also hit.
The driver of the Toyota, a 20-year-old woman from Windsor, was killed in the accident. The passenger in her car was transported to St. Francis Hospital by ambulance with serious, life-threatening injuries. Several other victims traveling in the other vehicles also suffered injuries in the wreck.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation at this time, and it’s unclear if citations or charges have been issued.
