Groton, CT (March 1, 2022) – A car accident took place in Groton on Tuesday, March 1, leaving at least one victim with injuries.
Officers with the Connecticut Department of Transportation and first responders reported to the scene at about 8:00 p.m. Preliminary information stated that the crash involved at least two vehicles and occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in the area of Exit 89 to Mystic Street.
Paramedics transported at least one person to a local hospital and provided any additional emergency treatment or transportation to those who needed it. The victims’ current conditions remain unknown.
The accident is under investigation.
