Hampton, CT (April 4, 2022) – A stretch of U.S. Highway 6 was closed on Monday, April 4, after a crash happened in Hampton, according to authorities.
Around 2:00 p.m., rescue units closed down several lanes of eastbound Highway 6 after the two-car accident. Per officers on the scene, one adult victim sustained injuries that were serious but not life-threatening. Paramedics took them to an area medical center for treatment, police added.
It’s unclear if any other victims suffered injuries, though police say their investigation remains active and further details will be provided in the coming days.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Serious Auto Accidents in Connecticut
Unfortunately, most injury-causing wrecks or fatal accidents are not only the result of bad luck or sheer coincidence. They are the direct result of someone’s reckless, negligent, or nefarious actions. Although many accidents cause only bumps and bruises that will heal in no time, others will have a long-term or even permanent influence on the victim’s life.
In Connecticut, the statute of limitations for personal injury claims is two years from the day the accident occurred. If you want to file a claim, you are required to meet this deadline. Should the deadline lapse, your claim for compensation will almost certainly be dismissed so it is in your best interest to speak with a Connecticut personal injury lawyer as soon as possible.

With a skilled Connecticut personal injury attorney in your corner, you can confidently seek compensation for your lost income, hospital bills, pain and suffering, and other losses.
