Hartford, CT (September 14, 2021) – A fatal auto accident occurred on Interstate 84 on Monday evening, September 13.
Connecticut State Police said the crash took place around 7:45 p.m. Initial reports state that a 2015 Acura traveling eastbound in the left-center lane hit a 33-year-old Hartford woman walking in the same lane.
EMS rushed to the crash site and attempted life-saving measures, but first responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with authorities. Officers did not say if citations or charges are pending.
Police are seeking drivers who have dashcam equipment or other witnesses. Any witness to the collision should contact Trooper John Wilson at Troop H.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
