Manchester, CT (February 19, 2022) – One person died and two others were hospitalized with serious injuries after a two-car crash happened on Interstate 384 near Manchester Saturday morning, February 19.
Per reports from authorities, the eastbound part of the highway was closed between Exits 1 and 2 for nearly six hours after the 5:00 a.m. accident.
According to the incident report released by Connecticut State Police, a driver lost control of their vehicle after an initial two-car collision and veered onto the median, where they struck a tree.
The driver and front-seat passenger of the car that lost control were taken to a local hospital with major injuries. Medics pronounced the rear passenger dead on the scene, police added.
The accident is currently under further investigation by CSP, but police asked that any witness of the crash, especially those who have a vehicle equipped with a dashcam, contact Trooper Paola Garces of Troop H.
